Blogging Background

www.thecutestblogontheblock.com is currently down and I am so ready to get this "Happy Holidays" off of my blog. I didn't know it would be down this long.  I still believe in Merry Christmas, to be honest, I only liked it because of the colors and bubble look. Now when I think about it I feel bad that I actually put "Happy Holidays." Cutesblogontheblock is slowly losing my zest for new chic backgrounds!!

Sharing some of the Parker's

So it is just a few minutes after I posted the one before this. I told you I had a lot to tell you. In reality, I just like showing off my cutie patootie Abram. So here is the last post for a while or until tomorrow which is New Years.

Got a story for you. This is really funny but very creative of Bradley.  Bradley set up a manger scene in the back bedroom. Well can you believe I did not have a manger, hay, or anything else for that matter that would resemble the nativity scene. So Bradley resorted to things around the house. I will show you a picture but I do not think you will get the full effect. In California, on the Santa Monica pier we had some guy make each of our faces out of clay.  The face is really small and they even added a few facial hairs on Bradley's  clay face. Well low and behold I look in the make shift Tupperware manger and find blankets with Bradley's face as baby Jesus.  He went around collecting candles and candle holders for everything around the manger. I also have a tree topper that is a Moravian star that lights up. He rigged the Moravian star  with an extension cord over the ceiling fan so it would be over his manger scene. This was about 1:00 a.m when I found this and laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee all over myself!

Hopefully you found it somewhat as amusing as I did. On to other news. I loved dressing Abram in his different Christmas pajamas.  These are the ones he wore on Christmas day...on the bottom it says Ho-Ho-Ho

He kind of blends into the rug on this one. Can you find him? :) The last pair of pj's are blue with santa riding broncos. Those are hand me downs from our nephew Ethan.

Told you...he likes to eat everything. Maybe this will inspire me to keep my floors cleaner. Wishful thinking....I'll just let my Roomba take care of it. Oh yea his name is Bougart, the name courtesy of Bradley. FYI, the Roomba was a Christmas present and I love it. I'm not one to promote gadgets but that thing rocks. I knew my floors were dirty but not that dirty. I actually don't know where it was getting some of the dirt it did.   A + for this gift!!!

Christmas 08 038

Not a creature was stirring.....

Christmas Day 2008 026 Not even Abram!! I'm a little late with this post but better late than never, huh?!  This was taken Christmas eve. We had a wonderful Christmas but it seemed to go by so fast. Abram is such a trooper and a great baby. He slept in till a big whopping 10:00 a.m Christmas Day. Bradley and I managed to get showered, dressed, and everything packed up for the big day at each families home before he got up.

Christmas before Abram got a hold of everything:

Note: The bike is not for him, we are not that gung-ho on making him grow upChristmas Day 2008 024 just yet. Bradley and I set a limit on how much we were going to spend on Abram. Well actually, Bradley set the limit and I smiled politely. Let me tell you, toys are expensive.  I thought I could find alot of stuff for what my budget was. They have so many talking colorful toys it was hard to narrow it down. Plus it is hard not to get the toy that has the option of speaking Spanish to you. Makes me feel like I am teaching my child something :)

Christmas after Abram ate everything and I do mean ate everything. It was so hard keeping things out of his mouth. He is so obvious about it too. Let see, things I found through out the day in his mouth: small piece of tape, wrapping paper, a bow, my hair, a small piece of Styrofoam, and did I mention my hair. I do watch him I promise, just little sucker crawls so fast and hits at me when I take it away from him.

This is the best picture I could find of the mess.

Christmas Day 2008 128

Bradley found a cool present for Abram. It is called a Rock-n-Ride Bull and it says "Hold on partner is going to be a bumpy ride and YAHOOOO" just name a few. Anyway this has been one of his favorite toys. The other toy that seems to be a hit and I mean a hit is his talking Cookie Monster. Abram sleeps with it and anytime I show it to him he reaches out his arms and almost holds cookie monster like a baby. Of yea, he also likes to eat/lick Cookie Monsters eyes.

Christmas Day 2008 049 Christmas Day 2008 055 There is so much to tell about our Christmas, that I should have started this blog several days ago.

New Orleans Weekend

Boy am I behind on posts. I guess it really doesn't matter when I only have a few people read them anyway. At least Abram can look back over the years and see what all his mom wrote about!! LOL, I doubt blogging will even be around when he grows up. Those young kids will probably think bloggin is ole school.

A few weeks ago we went to New Orleans to see some of Bradley's good friends, Luke and Brandon. Luke hooked us up with some sweet box seat tickets to the Hornets and Saints games. It was a quick trip but fun nonetheless to get away and visit.

Saints game: He looks like the perfect Saints player, doesn't he? He loved the game but got tired after while. Can I say how nice it was to be able to see the game and have food at your disposal. No waiting in lines, no ppl saying excuse me as they pass by hitting your knees. We sat in the governor's box seat at both games, of course he was not there or I would have been all about some pics with Jindal!!

I think this was one of Bradley's favorite part, next to our box was the owner of the Saints box. He just had to get a picture of him and his box....so here you go.
