Whatever shall I do with my little man getting sick like this?! I took him to the dr. Sat morning just to check his left ear. He has been pulling on it for about a week and a half but for the most part has been feeling pretty well. That is until I took him to the dr. Low and behold he has an ear infection. Of course, the dr and I counted and this makes it #4. They keep mentioning an ENT but nothing becomes of it!! When I took him in, he was not running any fever. When I left the dr it decided to sky rocket! Sun. it was 104.4 and pretty much bounces around between 102 and 104. It seems like the motrin and tylenol arent doing much for him right now. Until then, it's back to the dr tomorrow we go!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!! Oh yea and like all other sick children he has been sleeping with us. Covers + sick baby with fever = NO SLEEP!!!
Can I tell you how GOOD GOD IS?!?! Doesn't matter...I'm gonna do it anyways!! GOD IS SO AWESOME!!! He continues to show me HIS GLORY and HIS PROVISION each and everyday!!! It still brings tears to my eyes how much HE LOVES ME AND PROVIDES for our family. I'm a rambler so bare with me. Most of you know that Abram is wearing a helmet and the company is based out of Dallas. We are having to travel back and forth about every 2-3 weeks. Now I don't know about most of you, but generally I would look at this as being a fun trip. Well it really isn't! We are leaving early in the morning (mostly on Fridays), getting to the dr.that afternoon, spending the night in a hotel, getting up early and driving back in time for Bradley to study his Sunday School lesson. There isn't a whole lot to do when you have no money and know that you are going to do all this over again in another week or so. Get ready, here comes the good part....
I teach at a pretty nice school! Each of our families have mentioned this organization called Angel Flight. They help families that have a medical need and help fly patients to and from dr. appts. Not saying this boastful by any means but Bradley and I dismissed it because we thought we wouldn't "qualify" financially or medically. Did I mention that I teach at a pretty nice school? Anyways, I knew that one of my students parents owned a plane and that they flew a good bit. One day last week, I thought I would just ask this parent if they charged a small fee to fly people to and from certain places. She said generally no, but wanted to know what we were doing and where we were going. Let me tell you, when I told her this she lit up and smiled so big and said "we have been praying for a "ministry" that we could be apart of and for a way that we could help out more for this company called "Angel Flight" . She then went on to tell me that her husband is one of several pilots for Angel Flight and that they would love to do this for us. She gave me a number to Angel Flight and told me to request her husband. She then went on to tell me that if we couldn't do Angel Flight that they would help us anyways. I contacted Angel Flight and this is how it all got started. This being one of the reasons I took Abram to the dr. on Sat. just to check the ole ears before we flew over there.
Today we got up at 4:20 a.m. flew over to Addison/Medical City or Park for our 9:30 appt. Got to our dr. appt right in time and had our appt. The appt only lasted no lie 30 minutes. We got picked up by our "Earth Angel" as they are called and he drove us back to the airport. We were boarding and taxing off the runway by 11:00. We made it back about 1:30 p.m.......All in a day's work!
We were not out anything. We did not have to pay a dime. The pilots are all volunteers and do this out of the kindness of their hearts. They even provide transportation to dr. appt and back to airport for the families. Like I said, GOD is AMAZING and opened so many doors for Bradley and I. HE took care of us and showed us HIS BEAUTY even up in the sky!! Thanks Angel Flight and Mr. R & Mrs. M!! Pictures to come of Abram's 1st airplane ride.
