Busy times

Whew...have things been rough for us lately. It's not as easy to blog like it used to be.  Gone are the days where Bradley and I would go out on a date, there wouldn't be a single stitch of laundry, and I could run my dishwasher maybe once or twice a week. Boy do I also miss just sittin by myself and watching TV.  Now don't you worry, I still watch plenty of TV....we just DVR it all now.

So what's been going on with us?

Well Bradley and I started a young couples class at our church. Bradley does a great job teaching but it sure does seem to take a lot of his time. Which I guess is not a bad thing!!  We have had a good turn out and praise God for ALWAYS PROVIDING AND BEING SO GOOD TO US!!

Abram has been sick again!! I could make this story really long but I will try and make it brief.  Abram has had "squirty pants" LOL for about a week and a half. He got his shots 2 Wednesdays ago, did not run fever that night, and then all of a sudden that Thursday night he had a high grade of fever. When I say high, I mean high or atleast Bradley and I thought it was high. It was 103.5 and we had the hardest time getting it to go down. Friday morning...still running 103.5. So I decided, against Bradley's wishes to take him to the dr. When we got there, the nurse checked his temp and it was 104.8. WOW!! Come to find out, to dr.'s thats not that high and the final outcome is just a fever virus.  We get told to give tons of Pedialyte and stop formula till fever breaks.  Monday his fever finally stops.  Well fever stops but "squirty pants" does not. We go a few more days of squirty pants and then despite Bradley wish for me not to go back to the dr.....I go anyways!!! He's my baby....what else was I gonna do?  We get there and find out my pediatrician is out so we have to see this other dr.  Great day, this is all I need. I'm afraid he is just gonna tell me I'm being a hypochondriac.  Let me tell you, it was the complete opposite.

I had to save a "squirty diaper" for them to test. The dr. proceeds to tell me that it is either rotovirus or get this ....salmonella poisoning. He said that they have had a few reported cases already of salmonella and they think it is due to a bad batch of formula. How in the world does salmonella get in formula more or less infants?  Well, the rotovirus test came back negative. What a relief!!!! Then yesterday, the nurse calls and says "Kristin, I just wanted to let you know that the salmonella test came back positive, this is whats been causing the "squirty pants" and possibly fever for the past week and a half."  WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!  SALMONELLA !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have racked my brain as to how he could have gotten this!!! LOL I have been out of chicken for about a month so honest to goodness we have not cooked anything with chicken in a month. It does however make me feel a little better knowing that there have been other cases of this and that its not something Bradley and I did. I can honestly say I m done crying about it. When theres something wrong with ur child but you just dont know what it is, it makes you very sad.  Hopefully this antibiotic will work and he can get some kind of relief!!  I know I am finally relieved to know that there is and was something truly wrong with his tummy. This definitely will be going down in his baby book.  7 months----gets salmonella poisoning!!!

I will leave you with a  few pictures that Bradley and Bradley's cousin took.
